The place where the light pours in—

That’s where I want to be.

I’m always falling in love with the light. The first time I remember really noticing light was hiking in the PNW during high school. Noticing the way light would split through the fog on a morning hike, watching the sunrise reflect onto the mountains, the way it pours through the trees on a summer day.

Since I picked up a camera, I’ve fallen for the way the sun falls on someone’s face as they take in the sun as it hits their skin, how it dances throughout a wedding day, and everyday seeing how the light interacts with the trees, buildings and people around me.

While working with anyone my main goal is create a safe and inclusive space for all individuals and couples. I’m not into forced smiles and putting anyone in pose that makes them any kind of uncomfortable. The process we will go through together is intentionally set up so I am able to create that space before I even pick up a camera with you. About Me

  • I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was 13 years old, when I was gifted a hand me down camera from my family. I started capturing humans professionally after my best friend asked me to help plan and capture his proposal to his now wife, and one of my dearest friends. That was such a pivotal moment for me.

After graduating with my Bachelor’s in Science in Mechanical Engineering in spring of 2021; I took a solo roadtrip down the WA-OR-CA coast. Before leaving, my partner gifted me a thrifted Canon A-1 film camera. My first rolls of film on the Washington and Oregon Coasts. Since then I haven’t turned back. I’ve been shooting digital and film for my professional and digital work since then.

For me, it’s all about shooting with a film camera. It ignited my passion for photography again, is one of my favorite things to do with my partner, and how I remember my childhood. It’s a deeply integral part of my work and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate!

  • Some big magical force gave me the perfect dog in Luna. She has been with me through college, moving states and many life transitions. She’s a protector (all bark no bite) and a bit of a goof, but most of all the sweetest girl.

That same magical force extended me our tortoise shell cat, Tito. When I say this cat is a survivor, I mean it. Last year, on a trip to Cannon Beach on the Oregon coast, she escaped out of her backpack into the woods. We didn’t see her for 30 days, but thanks to a trail camera and a humane trap, we were able to get her back. It still blows my mind we were able to find her.

Of course, there’s my partner, who is loving and kind and always supports my crazy ideas and jobs. We started building our life together after 10 years of friendship that started in the high school band room. We found our love for film photography together. We also enjoy spending time together talking about creativity, traveling hundreds of miles in the car together and listening to podcasts.

  • I grew up in the midwest in a small town near the great lakes. I moved to Washington State when I was 10 years old with my mom and have completely fallen for the Pacific Northwest. It’s beauty is boundless, and I feel so lucky to call it home.
